Floodplain Evaluation of Tributary to Honey Creek

December 2, 2009

A Public Hearing was held in the Village of Plain at the Municipal Building on December 2, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.  The purpose of the meeting was to review the Floodplain Evaluation of Tributary to Honey Creek dated 05/29/2009.

The following Village Board members were present: Raymond Ellenbolt, President; Robert Jewell; James Liegel; Duane Meise; Robert Neuheisel; and, Merry Lynn Riek, Trustees. Trustee David Buchanan was absent.

Notice of this meeting was posted on November 18, 2009 in the following locations in the Village of Plain:  Municipal Building; Plain Post Office; and, The Peoples Community Bank.  A Class 2 notice of this public hearing was published in the November 18, 2009 and November 25, 2009 issue of the Home News.

The hearing was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by President Ellenbolt.

Documents reviewed are as follows: Final Map titled “Honey Creek Business Park” dated 06/30/2009; Flood profiles titled “Tributary to Honey Creek” dated 06/18/2009; and, Floodway data table titled “Proposed Floodway Data Tributary to Honey Creek” dated 06/30/2009

Liegel motioned to adopt the Floodplain Evaluation of Tributary to Honey Creek dated 05/29/2009 which includes: Final Map titled “Honey Creek Business Park” dated 06/30/2009; Flood profiles titled “Tributary to Honey Creek” dated 06/18/2009; and, Floodway data table titled “Proposed Floodway Data Tributary to Honey Creek” dated 06/30/2009. Jewell seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.

Liegel motioned to adjourn the Public Hearing at 6:40 p.m. Meise seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
