Village Board Proceedings of December 2, 2009

 

 

 


The Board of Trustees of the Village of Plain met after the Budget Public Hearing at the Municipal Building on December 2, 2009. 

 

The following Village Board members were present: Raymond Ellenbolt, President; Robert Jewell; James Liegel; Duane Meise; Robert Neuheisel; and, Merry Lynn Riek, Trustees. Trustee David Buchanan was absent.

Notice of this meeting, along with the agenda, was posted at the following locations

in the Village of Plain: Municipal Building; Plain Post Office; and, The Peoples Community Bank. 

 

The meeting was called to order by President Ellenbolt at 7:07 p.m.

 

Riek motioned to approve the Village 2009 tax levy of $472,494.00.  This was seconded by Liegel, and then carried unanimously.

 

Liegel next motioned to set the mill rate for the Village 2009 Real Estate and Personal Property taxes at $6.54949 per thousand dollars of valuation.  The motion was seconded by Jewell, and then carried unanimously. 

 

Meise motioned to adopt the Debt Service Budget of $50,257.92 as presented. 

Riek seconded the motion, and then the motion carried unanimously.

 

Neuheisel motioned to adopt the T.I.F. District Fund Budget of $103,126.85 as presented.

Liegel seconded the motion, and then the motion carried unanimously.

 

Meise motioned to adopt the Capital Improvements Fund Budget of $8,794.28 as presented.

Jewell seconded the motion, and then the motion carried unanimously.

 

Jewell motioned to set new greens fees for 9 holes in the amount of $15.00 & 18 holes in the amount of $20.00. This was seconded by Neuheisel, and then carried with Liegel voting no.

 

Liegel then motioned to set the effective date for 2010 wages for Village employees as January 4, 2010.  This was seconded by Jewell, and then carried unanimously.

 

Meise motioned to adjourn at 7:12 p.m.  This was seconded by Jewell, and then carried unanimously.
