Public Hearing on Ordinance 165-10

“Amending the Code of the Village of Plain to Create Zoning and Other Regulations for Adult Oriented Businesses”

April 14, 2010

A Public Hearing was held in the Village of Plain at the Municipal Building on April 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.  The purpose of the meeting was to review and approve amending the code of the Village of Plain to create zoning and other regulations for adult oriented businesses

The following Village Board members were present: Raymond Ellenbolt, President; Robert Jewell; James Liegel; Robert Neuheisel; and, Merry Lynn Riek, Trustees. Trustees David Buchanan and Duane Meise were absent.

Others present: Cole Brunson; Jack Schluter; and, Officer Chuck Schreiber.

Notice of this meeting was posted on March 31, 2010 in the following locations in the Village of Plain:  Municipal Building; Plain Post Office; and, The Peoples Community Bank.  A Class 2 notice of this public hearing was published in the March 31, 2010 and April 7, 2010 issue of the Home News.

The hearing was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Ellenbolt.

The Ordinance 165-10 document was reviewed.

Liegel motioned to adopt Ordinance 165-10 “Amending the Code of the Village of Plain to Create Zoning and Other Regulations for Adult Oriented Businesses.”  Neuheisel seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.

Liegel motioned to adjourn the Public Hearing at 7:03 p.m. Jewell seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
